A new Otium partnership

Turn your marina rewards into skills, confidence and adventure.

Get Lost Powerboat Training has partnered with MDL Marinas as an official Otium Partner.

This means eligible MDL customers can use their accumulated Otium points towards a carefully selected range of our boating services. These include recognised RYA courses, personalised training aboard your own vessel and instructor-chaperoned passages.

The partnership is designed to help berth holders get more enjoyment from their boats—not simply by spending more time afloat, but by becoming safer, more knowledgeable and more confident while doing it.

All Otium bookings must be arranged directly with Get Lost Powerboat Training by telephone or email.

Learn aboard your own vessel

Training that reflects the boat you actually use.

A training boat can teach the principles. Your own boat introduces the details that matter every time you leave the berth.

Its dimensions, controls, engines, visibility, electronics and response to wind are all individual. Own-boat tuition allows us to concentrate on the situations you encounter in your own marina and the journeys you want to make.

  • Training can be shared with regular crew members.
  • Sessions are tailored to your boat and objectives.
  • We can focus on specific manoeuvres or complete journeys.
  • Tuition can improve both confidence and crew communication.
Go beyond the marina

Chaperoned passages for owners ready to explore further.

These trips are not sightseeing charters. They are practical confidence-building journeys aboard your boat, with the owner and crew actively involved in planning, preparation and operation.

Coastal development

Chaperoned Coastal Trips

Develop your experience beyond familiar local waters while retaining the reassurance of professional guidance when it is needed.

International passage

Chaperoned Cross-Channel Trips

Work through the planning and practicalities of a Channel crossing before completing the passage aboard your own suitable vessel.
